My name is Troy Fernandez, and I’ve decided to run for Division 5 next year. I wanted to introduce myself and let you know what I stand for.
My young family and I live in our local community. I have lived here my whole life. We are proudly part of the community, our sporting clubs, local groups, and we support local businesses. In fact, I grew up in a family that was reliant on the income of a small business.
I was born in the Redcliffe Hospital. I grew up swimming at our beaches, fishing in the bay, riding my bike through our parks. I attended Southern Cross Catholic College, got my first job working retail on the beachfront and am raising my family in Redcliffe. I gained a Masters Degree in Employment Relations which I achieved while working full time, representing hard working local people.
I want to give back to the community that has been so good to my family and me. I believe that people who care for and want to put our community first deserve our support. I will always put people before politics, and I want to make sure that our Council does the same.
I will put our community first. I have a plan to protect and improve our local lifestyle, create a better environment for local business and support local jobs. I will support sensible and appropriate development, and I will bring accountability and transparency to Council.
Your vote is important, and I am asking you for your number 1 vote on March 28. I have the drive and energy to represent you and put our community first.
Give me a call or send me an email if there’s something you would like to bring to my attention. I’m out and about all the time, so if you see me, please stop and say hello.
I am proud to say that this is home for my family, friends and child, and I want to have the ability to contribute to making our Moreton Bay Region the best place to live, work and raise a family, both now and for our future generations.
I'm a fresh energetic voice that has years of experience representing others. I will put those skills and experience to work representing you. I love our community and with your support we can make it even better.
I have a plan to protect and improve our local lifestyle, create a better environment for local business and support local Jobs. I will support sensible and appropriate development and I will bring accountability and transparency to Council.
At this critical time of growth in our region, our community needs to have confidence that the Council is working in our best interests.
Your vote is important and valuable, and I am asking you to support someone who is on your side - to support me.
My campaign is grassroots, and I need your support against some of the cashed-up candidates.
Can you help out?
Every dollar makes a difference!
